The eufyMake E1 x Shopify Pop-Up Event Comes to New York City
Share
The mood was electric as we celebrated our first eufyMake E1 pop-up shop event in iconic New York City. Here's how it went down.
eufyMake E1 Debuts in New York

The eufyMake E1 x Shopify pop-up event was the first of its kind since news of the E1 Kickstarter campaign broke. Held on Friday, May 16, 2025, and in collaboration with Shopify, the event allowed attendees to experience our new eufyMake E1 UV printer first-hand. E1 prints were both abundant and on full display. Among them, several artistic canvases, a pair of Crocs shoes, three sets of custom earrings, mugs, cups, and even a full-sized skateboard.
Colson Pâtisserie provided refreshments, and members of our eufyMake team were on-hand to mingle with the crowd and explain E1's features. Staff even held a raffle where winners could get a personalized, 3D-textured design printed, on-site, onto a coaster or refrigerator magnet.

Officially, the event ran between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm, but attendees-apparently anxious to see what E1 was capable of-lined the sidewalk outside the New York Shopify space roughly a half-hour before.
Once doors opened, the crowd perused the many E1 prints on display before attending a formal presentation from Mike Ling, US Sales Lead for eufyMake. Ling used his time to explain the unique vision behind the eufyMake E1.
The eufyMake E1 vs. Other UV Printers

During the same presentation, Ling discussed where E1 fit into the market and described how the machine fills a niche no other UV printer does. For instance, many UV printers on the market offer limited functionality, lackluster color representation, and pose a high initial cost. They're also large and built primarily for the commercial market.

E1, on the other hand, is smaller, smarter, and more cost-effective than those commercial behemoths. It prints high-resolution colors and vibrant 3D textures. It has built-in AI design assistance.
And it's made with hobbyists and small business owners in mind. These features give E1 a significant advantage over its competitors and make UV printing accessible to a wider range of consumers.
After his initial presentation, Ling dialed in to a video conference call with Lead Product Manager, Fred Fu, who fielded technical questions from the crowd in real-time. During this Q&A session, Fu discussed topics such as ink shelf life and overall build quality.

Fu also reminded the crowd that since E1 is a first-generation product, there will likely be opportunities to improve the machine before it hits store shelves. Fu indicated that his team, as well as beta testers, will be seeking out these opportunities up to and beyond release.
Justin Bitner of Bitner Built Weighs In
One of the aforementioned beta testers is successful business owner and YouTuber Justin Bitner, who was also in attendance at the E1 event. Bitner runs Bitner Built, a YouTube channel dedicated primarily to woodworking. Bitner has spent the last month extensively documenting his experiences with E1.
He's also printed a plethora of decorative designs and real-world projects, such as signage for his child's martial arts school.
Bitner brought along several of these printed items for the event, even allowing attendees to pass them around so they could gauge E1's print quality.

Additionally, Bitner gave a brief presentation explaining various use cases for the machine. He also described some of the more innovative ways he'd been testing E1.
One print, for example, he admitted to printing 7 times, in different configurations, as a way of determining ink consumption rates.
Finally, Bitner provided insights into production costs and print timing.
He's recently put together a complete guide to the eufyMake E1 on his YouTube channel.
Attendees Finally Meet E1

Once the formal presentations ended, guests were invited to witness E1 in action. The multi-talented Ling played concierge and walked event attendees through the process of creating a project with the eufyMake E1. He then assisted in printing various items for the crowd while onlookers discussed the machine.

Ling also helped raffle winners get their custom designs made. One of those raffle winners chose to personalize a coaster with a design that echoed a current tattoo he'd previously had inked on his upper right shoulder.
Watching this project take shape seemed to energize the man, and he spent several minutes showing off the design-and the tattoo that inspired it-as well as discussing some ways he could use E1 as a profitable business tool.
Printing Professionals on E1

Other event attendees were a mix of current and potential Kickstarter backers excited about E1's debut. One of those attendees, Tyler, shared his insights into how a machine like this could provide additional sales opportunities for custom-printed corporate items.
Like many makers interested in E1, Tyler is already in the printing industry. He currently works with direct-to-garment (DTG) and automotive vinyl wraps.
During conversation, he mentioned that his business can sell up to 400 printed shirts per week. He's now looking to expand his business into other types of promotional items.

For him, E1 seemed to be a promising vehicle, though he did have questions about the durability of inks and their resistance to sun exposure. He also expressed that ease-of-use was one of the most important criteria guiding his decision to buy an E1 machine.
It was obvious he was excited about the potential profitability E1 could provide. Other attendees expressed similar sentiments.
More eufyMake E1 Pop-Up Events Planned

Based on the apparent success of this first pop-up event, the eufyMake team has already begun planning more gatherings. At the time of writing, another pop-up event has been held in Brooklyn, NY, and staff are discussing more potential event locations in other cities.
Suggestions include: Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami, and even Ontario, Canada. None of these locations have been officially confirmed. Yet.
Join the E1 Kickstarter Campaign Today!

Overall, we're excited that the response to E1 has been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, just 8 hours after the campaign launched, E1 had already generated over $5 million in funding.
More recently, the Kickstarter campaign surpassed the $27 million mark. That means our own eufyMake E1 has already become one of the most successful technology products in Kickstarter's history. Certainly, that milestone is worthy of celebration.
Still, the campaign isn't over. It's slated to end June 29th, which means you have plenty of time to hop over to Kickstarter and support the project.
